The musical direction for these recordings was in the hands of Rosario Bourdon - for the more classical selections, and Nat Shilkret for the popular ones, aside from the two by the Arden-Ohman Orchestra. The male vocalists were more active as soloists in other records and thusly, are easier to identify. I have a put a general personnel list in the first disc of this series.Less information is available about the UK group which recorded as the 'Light Opera Company',but Peter Dawson and Elisabeth Pechy were in the 'Blue Mazurka Gems. The Love Parade and Sunny Side Up Gems were the last recorded by the stable of Victor vocalists from this era. Another group would continue through the thirties and forties. I was very pleased to find a Japanese pressing of Victor 36008, slightly flawed but very clean.
